21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and clever in their own sight
NIV
1 Cor 1:19-22
For it is written:
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 2
NIV
The Scriptures have many warnings meant to inform humans what fate will befall them if they think they are wise enough to ignore the written words provided to the world by the Creator. The scriptures were written over centuries by different men surprisingly give many similar warnings to humankind. The warnings cover a range of behaviors that in reality, all come from the source; the pride of humans.
Humans, over the centuries, have prided themselves on taking actions that have caused wars, sickness, suffering, disease, and other afflictions that have been detrimental to lives human, plant and animal. Men and women have been selfish desiring to have more goods, larger dwellings, finer clothing and status than others. Some desire power, and its consequences enough they will lie, cheat, steal, harm and even kill to obtain their desires and objectives.
In the United States and other countries, there is a long history of deception, deceit, dishonesty by lawmakers that pass laws that seek to force the will of those lawmakers on others even though those laws are sometimes unjust.
Isa 10:1-2
Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, 2 to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.
NIV
The scriptures have been written by many different men over centuries and consolidated into a widely distributed book called the Bible. They have called for behavior, by humans, that would benefit all peoples. The Bible is largely ignored by most humans now and in its past, people are seemingly unaware of the history and significance of the scriptures included in the Bible.
People don’t seem to understand the probability that such a book with writings that tell men how to live their lives for the good of all mankind written over the centuries by different men with similar messages could develop and exist. Even though the scriptures claim the existence of an all-powerful Elohim that wants humans to live in peace and harmony eternally and this message is declared by different writers over the span of many years, the message is widely ignored now and in the past.
The biblical scriptures also proclaim that men will ignore its messages in the future that will result in the destruction of most people alive when the prophesied events occur. The end will be terrible for the world and its inhabitants.
Isa 24:5-6
5 The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore earth’s inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left.
NIV
People in all nations have ignored the scriptures and will suffer the consequences of their actions or non-actions. The Creator has used the tribes of Israel in the scriptures to serve as an example or witness to obeying or not obeying his rules and laws for life written in the scriptures displayed in the Bible.
Isa 43:10-12
10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. 11 I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me, there is no savior. 12 I have revealed and saved and proclaimed — I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God.

Note: the bible verses used in YNCA’s articles do not change the titles used to identify the Creator and his Son, but declares these false titles are not used in the scriptures written in Hebrew and Greek. For an explanation on how these false titles were introduced into the English and other versions of the Bible read YNCA’s article “How the Creators Name was Changed and why it’s Important”.
The Israelites were given the rules on how to live their lives by through Moses. Elohim at Mount Sinai gave his laws to the Israelites after they were released from Egyptian rule and led into the desert by Moses, according to the scriptures. Moses and other writers over the years recorded the lives, history, and actions of the tribes of Israel as recorded in the scriptures and titled ‘Old Testament’ in the Bible.
It is recorded that when Israel obeyed the rules and laws of Yahweh they prospered and when they broke the rules and laws they suffered. All the tribes of Israel broke the rules and laws of Yahweh repeatedly until they were captured and taken off the land promised to them, though, Abraham. Genesis 13:17
Only the tribe of Judah is visible in the world today even though the other tribes still exist and are playing a significant role in the world today as prophesied in the scriptures. Read YNCA’s articles (The S WORD and Why Israel Important in the Scriptures).
Why do the scriptures declare “Woe to the Wise”?
Jer 8:9
9 The wise will be put to shame; they will be dismayed and trapped. Since they have rejected the word of the Lord, what kind of wisdom do they have?
NIV
Wise educated people, of the world, have declared that men were not created by Yahweh, but are instead were evolved from a single life form that grew all forms of animal life and that humans are the last form of development now known and that man’s closest ancestors are apes. People have come to this conclusion even though there is no evidence linking man to apes and even though mathematically evolution of man from apes is not possible. See YNCA’s list of research sources at www.yncainfo.org.
What does woe mean to humans?
The end of the world governments of man will come to a violent end as prophesied by the scriptures. The scriptures also predict just how events will unfold causing the end of man’s governments. World events, now being reported by the news media, are taking place that will trigger a cataclysmic war that will destroy most of the cities in the world, all world armies, all monetary systems and all civilization as it exists in the latter days.
The scriptures predict the future of humans and their civilizations in graphic detail and it’s not future humans would desire for themselves, yet even though they could prevent the coming disastrous coming events humans will suffer the fate they will bring on themselves. The Creator warns humans what will happen to them and what they will be like at the time of the end. The time of the end, in the scriptures refers to the end of the rule of man.
Yahweh has provided humans a period of time in which they can rule themselves and has given humans rules by which to live. He has declared the blessings humans will receive if they follow his rules and the curses they will endure if they chose not to live by his rules. He provided humans with examples of how they could benefit people by providing an example or witness in the tribes of Israel. Deut. Chapter 28.
When the tribes of Israel obeyed the creator’s rules and laws they prospered and when they chose to reject the rules they received the curses promised including being taken off the land promised them by Yahweh through Abraham. Genesis 15
Through his prophets, Yahweh lamented the actions of the Israelites because they were stiff-necked stubborn, hard-headed, deceitful and selfish. Isaiah 30:9; Jerimiah 5:23.
Isa 30:8-9
8 Go now, write it on a tablet for them, inscribe it on a scroll, that for the days to come
it may be an everlasting witness. 9 These are rebellious people, deceitful children,
children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction.
The scriptures provide that Israel is an everlasting witness to the chosen rebellious acts of humans in the past. Today and into the final days of the self-governing by humans and their institutions most of the government leaders in the world will not heed the laws of Yahweh. It has been, is now and will be into the future the same for those who are considered and who consider themselves to be wise. None will follow the laws of Yahweh even the tribe of Judah the last visible, to the world, tribe of the twelve tribes of Israel. Woe to these people. Their actions and the results of those actions are written, as a witness, just as Yahweh has instructed in the scriptures.
2 Tim 3:1-4
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
NIV
Does there need to be any more evidence of this prophecy than the actions of people today? In the US, the tribe of Manasseh, the entertainment on TV and theaters, the outlandish behavior of lawmakers and so-called scholars, the favoritism and scandalous behavior of business leaders and the fraud perpetrated by people on government welfare programs? Why do individuals believe they are so important they must have several forms of social media to draw attention to themselves and give their opinions on matters about which they have a shallow understanding? These people ignore the scriptures; do not obey the creator even though they have been warned in writing by Yahweh in the scriptures. Woe to these people! They will be taken by surprise when their demise comes upon them.
2 Peter 3:3-10
3 First of all, you must understand that in the last day’s scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of the water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word, the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.
NIV
Many who are called Christians believe they will escape the terrible coming last days because they have been taught they will escape by their religious leaders. They have been taught in error because the scriptures clearly teach they will not escape the coming devastation. Read YNCA’s article “The Rapture”.
The scriptures predict the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. The prophet Ezekiel predicts that the United States the tribe of Manasseh will be attacked from the North by Gog
Ezek 39:1-6
“Son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. 2 I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel. 3 Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand. 4 On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals. 5 You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. 6 I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the Lord.
NIV
Gog is identified in the scriptures as the chief prince of Tubal and Meshech both sons of Japheth (Gen 10:2) You do not have to trace the lineage of Gog, Japheth, Tubal or Meshech to understand what nations would have shortest route over the north pole to attack one of the tribes of Israel, Manasseh the single most powerful nation in the history of the world as prophesied by Jacob whose name was changed to Israel by Yahweh. Genesis chapter 48: Genesis 32:28 is the United States today.
It is widely reported that both China Russia and other nations building their military resources and forming alliances not only with each other but also other nations to apparently challenge the financial and military might of the United States and the nations aligned with the United States. Read YNCA’s articles “The S WORD and Why is Israel Important in the Bible” A route over the North Pole would be the shortest path to attack the United States and they are the only countries with the military might attempt an attack on the United States and its aligned nations. Why would nations attack the United States and it aligned nations? The answer is also provided by Yahweh in the scriptures.
Ezek 39:7-8
7 “‘I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One in Israel. 8 It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord. This is the day I have spoken of.
NIV
Yahweh, through his prophets, has declared in writing not once but several times that a terrible time of war is coming to the earth. Not like the wars in the past but a total war in which billions of people will cease to exist. The surface of the earth will be changed. Mountains will be leveled and moved, cities will be destroyed, commerce will cease and armies will be wiped out along with the governments they support. People who thought they were wise, government leaders, religious leaders, scholars, business leaders, political leaders and many who thought they were important will be killed. They will no longer be in charge of anything or important to anyone.
Yahweh will have allowed humans enough time to break his laws and profane his holy name. They will have been given enough time and opportunities to repent from their sins against the creator and will now suffer the consequences of their stubbornness, as they were amply warned in writing, and repeatedly choose to ignore.
Why will Yahweh completely destroy these pseudo-wise people?
2 Peter 2:13-15
13 They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you. 14 With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed — an accursed brood! 15 T
NIV
2 Peter 2:17-19
17 These men are springs without water and mists driven by a storm. Blackest darkness is reserved for them. 18 For they mouth empty, boastful words and, by appealing to the lustful desires of sinful human nature, they entice people who are just escaping from those who live in error.
NIV
People considered wise in their own eyes and the eyes of the world have led people astray, they have taught and lived error. Wise leaders of the world are fools in the eyes of Yahweh and they have taught by others by both word and example to reject the laws and commands of Yahweh, even teaching people to profane his holy name.
Wise people who have deceived others have caused great harm to other people. They have made laws that cause people to be oppressed, they have unjustly seized the property of others, they have unjustly caused wars and caused the deaths of many people, they have led people to worship falsely and denied the scriptures, they have taught the commands of Yahweh are invalid and they have profaned the holy name of Yahweh and taught others the holy name of Yahweh is useless.
They are very foolish and will have no excuse when their time of judgment arrives. Creation itself is all the evidence people should need to understand the power and might of Yahweh. Creation of the world and the universe cannot be explained by all the worlds’ wise men even from the beginning of men on earth until now.
Rom 1:18-20
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
NIV
Yahweh created the world for people to live on and enjoy in peace, however, he gave humans the power to accept or reject his rules. Why would he give people the ability to commit foolish sins and hurt others by being selfish and greedy?
In the coming kingdom that will replace the governments of men, there will be no people that cause others to be misled or harmed. Selfish greedy people will not be allowed to harm or influence others. There will be peace and no war. People will not be poor or oppressed by wicked leaders. There will be no unjust laws and everyone will be treated justly and fairly. Children will play safely without fear because there will be no criminals. Those who break the law will have had their time and will not exist in the coming kingdom.
Would you prefer to live in peace with your family or live in a world filled with willfully selfish people who put there wants and desires ahead of others even if other people are hurt because of their greed?
If you want a happy future you should study the scriptures, the words of Yahweh, for yourself and seek the wisdom that comes from Yahweh and not foolish humans.
1 Cor 1:20-22
20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
